Life After Pi
In 2013 my wife was one of hundreds of Rhythm & Hues employees who were laid off in the company's descent into bankruptcy. It was a pretty traumatic time for us and a lot of people we know and it was a very revealing look into the fatally flawed system that is VFX. There's an ongoing discussion of what the future of that industry will be and a new short documentary 'Life After Pi' does a nice job laying out the playing field.
